Moon walk

Our lives have reached twilight
the dawning of the night
hand in hand
we will watch ourselves die

CLose your eyes to the sight
of our endless fight
let darkness reign
in the eye of our mind

The sun is fading
but the stars light our way
we will walk the predestined path
and land on the moon

I hear crickets sing
their sorrowful ring
in harmony
to our funeral precession

Dearly beloved
thou hast departed
with our lights
brief succession

The sun is fading
but the stars will light our way
We will walk the predestined path
and land on the moon

This is the twilight of our lives
The stillness of the air marks our demise
Can't you hear the mournful tune
We will dance to it on the moon

The sun is fading
but the stars will light our way
we will walk the predestined path
and land on the moon

Please tell me what you think

You have a wonderful mind's ear for the use of language and phonetic device in your poetry ... this seems both resigned to the fading sun of life and celebratory of the adventures in the darkness of its demise
