I see a girl in my head.
She has beautiful long black hair.
Her eyes are small,
but they still hold so much wisdom.
I see her so cleary,
and I know she's not really here.
Her voice is filled with sadness,
she knows what happened to her
when she was still alive.
She tells me the story
and tells me over and over,
"It was just an accident! She didn't mean to!"
The night she died,
her sister, only 9,
tried to baptize her in their bathtub.
The little girl tried to get up,
but her sister held her down.
"I had to be washed of my sins," cried the little girl,
knowing that's what it was all about.
Her sister didn't let her up,
when she needed some air.
Moments later, she was in a sea
and it was filled with firehorses.
She wasn't mad at her sister,
not even upset.
She swam in the sea of the firehorses,
she was at peace.
When she was done telling me her story
she repeated herself,
"She didn't mean it, it was an accident."
As she finished saying what she had to say,
she disappeared.
Now she could rest, peacefully,
knowing that she told someone
it was an accident.
Author notes
It's based off a movie I saw a while aback.
