You preach your malignant message
to children too young to understand
Hate seeps from your pores a vile
cocktail choking love and hope.
Your volcanic infection spreads to
weak minds fills them like water
drowning pure souls in contaminated
blood born pathogens.
You share your self proclaimed mighty
words of GOD in an effort to bring
about your own agenda of biggotry,
shame and suffering.
Your teachings breed mutated views
on what life and love are all about
akin to the inbreeding of dogs eventually
you will create only yourselves.
You damage the lives of those who
love freely, live proudly and destroy
the lives of those who hold them dear
all for the sake of selfgratification.
The same people you hate, pass judgement on,
deny and abuse with all of your words and
actions are the very same people who fight
every day for your right to do so.
Author notes
There is so much to be said about these people. So much anger to vent and rage to explode. Yet part of me feels sorry for them. Those they hate so much are the same people who work everyday to guarantee them the right to spew forth such filth. The people they'd spit on are those that give them the freedom to do so. While I am not a Christian I do believe in a greater power and these individuals will get what is coming to them. I'm just afraid it will not be soon enough.

Okay~ WOW! Thank You for entering and for your authors notes!
Your poem is perfect and well written.
You touched on one very important point about the very people they spit on are the same people who fight for their right to do so.
A emotional piece, I would have like to have seen something about the Phelps or their 'church' directly but it's obvious who and what you are writing about so actually it's perfect.
I love this write!
