Sun shimmers
inviting shadow,
long cool pleasure pull
trips tight
in cover paint
from
belligerent teens.
Awkward caress
remembers the scape and spin
and dark climb
and still
curiosity lingers.

I like the way
this suggest thoughts without having said them , leaves one to ponder the words and their implications a bit deeper. good write

i really like the feel of this piece- the soft alliteration the pleasant scene painted- i tripped up a bit on the second stanza-
i think it needs another transitional word to make it read a bit smoother?
but i do love the images here..
very nice

I'm helping Mary with the judging - and it looks like it's going to be a tough one!
I liked what you did here... very nice brevity and still you managed to let the "curiosity lingers"...and I like that about a poem. Nice take on the contest theme.
