A little box with your mothers locks
A face from your past
To help your memories last
A silver chain around your neck
This little charm wont bring her back
But close to your heart this locket stays
To remind you of happier days
A mother from who's love you came
You can keep her close to your heart again
Now a child some day to grow
And to be a mother you will know
It was not her choice to go away
To leave her baby girl that day
But when death came she could not stay
It was her time on that sad day

Thank you for entering my contest!
i always struggle with these poems... you can't really analyse or judge them because they are so personal to the reader and fall outside of the general criteria... i mean, do you really want someone to critique this? its a piece of your heart.
