asking (rictameter)

asking
why am I here?
does my life have purpose?
tell me God where I have gone wrong?
there must be a special plan you've thought of
some reason why things are so hard
and troubles rule the day
God it's me, just
asking

This is great. The write just flows so smoothly and the count is right on. I like the subject matter and love the ending. Thanks for the time and the entry.

True thoughts, that we all ask of the Almight at onoe time or another. You wrote it in the form of a rictameter, and created an excellent poem within this shape.

I don't mean to sound disrespectful.
The way you expressed this has a quite bland sound, opposed to its nature.
It would seem you're repeating those words in the drive-thru, expecting to get an answer like "Drive to the next window."
I'm sorry, but to me it lacks a strong punch to show how you really feel about your concept. It's not a bad thing, though, it's just how I see it.

As for the concept, I do feel you.
It gets blurry at times, but we have to hang on, even when we don't know what awaits us, keep going forward.

    Good luck at the contest.

Sometimes one asks many questions and never gets the answers they seek. God always has his plan for everything. He will reveal in his time, not ours. Just believe in him to guide you through. ~blessings always~
