Why the Pen

I listen to the
leaves as they
crackle underfoot
and chitter-chatter
with the wind

I study desolate
places and
my heart swells
with pride
as I witness
the tenacity
of the soul

I look deep within
my heart
and sometimes
it's as if a
voice whispers
softly in my
ear

and then the
words flow...

    Best wishes,

Beautiful stated! It is the quiet whisper that brings our words to life...our muse wanting to be heard through us.
    Well done.

Thanks for the comments and the award! There are so many reasons to write, but sometimes that little voice speaks up - whispers to your soul and you have to write, something...
