A star traversed the sky and wise men followed
its brilliant light marking it as hallowed.
It lured kings and mystics to an loan spot
to witness what God through woman begot.
As it shone the world began to change
and the heart of Man was feeling strange.
Our savior came and Jesus was His name,
after His birth nothing was ever the same.
A young Boy saw blood wrongly tainting God,
knowing only His love, He found this odd.
God was hailed warrior and called to kill,
Jesus knew the role He was born to fill.
His mission as martyr brought His heart grief
and He prayed beseeching God for relief.
Only by example could He teach love,
sacrificing His life He’d rise above.
This unconditional love gave man hope
the world was still wicked yet now we could cope.
Praise be to God for the birth of His Son
for I believe in Him and what He’s done.

Well done
Great discription of the birth of Christ. Alsso his life as he rules as King now. Good imagery.

this was an intriguing write. usually christ poems tend to be...trite or typical. this had a lot of power in it. it wasnt cliche, it really spoke of emotional things...real life. nicely done.

a sensitive rendering of one man's faith, well expressed and poetically presented. A warm heart and a generous soul shine through. Well done.

Like the voice of the Spirit ...
What a sensitive piece, one that honors the Lord in all respects. Your words show a heart that has coursed quite a few miles with Him. In every way, I am encouraged by this; and I’ve also appreciated your generous comments on my work very much. Emile, thank you for E V E R Y T H I N G!!! Warm regards, Sultan
