I once had an imaginary friend
that no one else could see,
at the age of eight or ten
he was the right one for me.
We would play day after day
my imaginary friend and me,
I called him, Mr. Nobody
he was the perfect friend you see.
He would get into trouble,
It obviously wasn't my fault.
I would point the finger of blame,
I still do that as an adult.
I will never forget the invisible pal
that I had back as a kid,
memories of such a wonderful friend
and all the fun things we did.
As an adult I talk to him
my invisible friend is here,
and will be 'til the very end
I will always hold him dear.

Aw, that's so cute! I remember that age, when you invent the perfect friend to be with you wherever you go. They always thought of the best games, and of course did all the naughty things in the house. And better yet, they took the blame without any complaint! How awesome was that?
Unfortunately, the blame game doesn't work much once you get older...
Anyways, awesome write! I liked the rhythm and the rhyme scheme was easy and didn't feel forced at all. Nice job and good luck.

First I would like to ask you to please not 5 star my comment or comment in any way.
Only because I am trying very hard not to find out who anyone is as of yet.
Your poem is very cute, made me laugh.
I remember as if it was only yesterday
my kids imvisible friend. Boy oh Boy
were they bad as hell LMBO. They got
into all kinds of things. But they had
fun. I think all kids had invisible friends.
Now when you grow up, that's another story.
But hey whatever makes you happy.
This is a great poem, I had fun reading it.
Thanks for entering my contest and I wish you
the very best of luck.
Loveandblessings2u & yours always

A fine advertisement for having an invisible friend!
I am starting to really want an invisible friend.
It seems like a good idea, and if you were single, you could have an invisible husband.
The only thing is, he wouldn't bring in any income. BUT, you wouldn't have to cook for him or clean up after him. Hummmmmmmmmmm...
This poem is just the sweetest!
