God has allowed me,
To say good-bye.
I need you to know,
I'm truly thankful for the husband you were.
Many other's would have left me behind,
In the illness we faced.
Yet you stood without doubt,
forever by my side.
You fought with me,
Till the day I died.
Every moment of our life,
You were my rock, my hero.
Everday of our life,
You urged me to survive.
Never a moment,
your love was in doubt.
Never a moment,
it was not felt.
Never let yourself feel,
any guilt over this end.
You gave me all you had,
I fought with all I had.
I will forever miss you,
Your hug that conquered all.
Your kiss so beautiful,
Always washed away my tears.
Never let anyone tell you,
you're not a Wonderful man.
Always remember, my love for you,
will never end.
Hun, I am happy now,
there is no pain.
All I do is smile here,
There are No more tears.
Please do not hurt,
I don't want to exchange,
My pain for yours.
Please tell the kids,
I always loved them.
I fought everyday,
To be here for them.
It's time for me to go now,
I will see you another day.

This really hit home, I have so many times thought of what I would like to say. Being I face an illness where everyday is a guessing game with life.

There is much pain in death for the ones we love so dearly. To find the words in life to tells them is hard enough, but to find them to speak after death seems next to impossible as there are simply no words that can truly cover everything we wish to say. WoW, did this make me cry, a river, I mean real tears.
This has got to be one of the most touching piece of poetry I can ever remember reading. There is so much love put into your words. It is so sad of a write. I know it is hard when someone we love so much passes away, it hurts us like hell. This made me realize that it hurts them just as much to leave us all behind. I always hated the word goodbye, I never say it and never will. This is a very heartfelt, lovely poem.
