Fruitcake here, fruitcake there
I see fruitcake everywhere.
It comes alive in my mind
a fruitcake of a different kind.
It seems like it's staring at me,
those fruity eyes I can see.
I will look the other way
I don't like fruitcake anyway.
I see fruitcake like no other,
I gave fruitcake to another.
It looked at me with a smile
then that fruitcake left for a while.
It never came back again you see,
that fruitcake that was here with me.
I didn't know what else to do,
that fruitcake probably went to you.

Well, I wish it would come to me...
I DOUBLE, TRIPLE LOVE FRUITCAKE AND I NEVER BUY THEM AND NOBODY GIVES ME ONE, EITHER.
Heck. Fruitcakes cost so much... oh well. I might steal one. Do you think a store would press charges? Do you think a jury would find me guilty?
I love your poem.
