seein is believing

see the scars
of the heart
one slice at a time
never really knowing the rhyme
oh my look at the time
i better get this poem goin
see this is how it goes
i never let life drag me down
but wait thats a lie
sometimes im tied down
like a maiden in distress on train tracks
but heres the trick im a guy
see this is why
i have my issues not with my gender
just with my own personal strength
i see it on the inside but not the out
that superhero is in doubt
placed in my mind
years at a time
see whats become?
of the one
that people loved?
broke down and old
see this is what its like
knowing
and not knowing
having pain in a heart
scared from the start
to much going on
now you see that i cant do a thing
cant rhyme cant time
but the thing i can do is spill
this heart out with this pen
writing in my own blood
as i pour my feelings out
like a fever
just trying to get out
