I wait...


Crouched behind a pine out of thousand around me
My M16 ready to raise at the a moment's notice
The air is thick as the wind pelts me with cold
I can hear the shouts and guns around me yet near me is silent
The ground is tough as rock, frozen to the core
The leaves crunch beneath me
No moving a muscle
The sound of twigs snapping in the distance gets closer
I peak around my tree and see glimpses of men charging to the left
I slowly move my head back around
Scanning around me

The moment comes
I hear the enemy approaching
Quite footsteps of a men checking the woods around him
I stay as still as possible and hold my breathe
He stops
I hear him crouch lower and scan the area
He moves again slowly toward my left
As his footsteps move I slowly move my feet to the right
I go around the tree as he turns left
I stop and as he stops
He shuffles to the left and right checking the area
He starts on the move again faster
I check to my sides to see if anyone is around me
The coast is clear
I pop around the tree and see where exactly he is
I have a dead shot
I go back around the tree
He stops again, hearing my disturbance
He moves toward me but then hears something behind him and starts to move that way
I shoot twice
Both nail my target in the back
As I hear the glory word
HIT!
Victory is mine.
