Exist

The world would still exist
And function without us here.

The sun would rise and set
And the clouds would sail by
Again and again.

The waves would still crash
Against the rocks and sand,
Eroding the rocks and cliffs
Over millions of years.

The wind would still
Comb the leaves back
On the thick, tall trees,

And the rain would still
Wash away the dust
And raise the ground's steam.

People are not the center
of the universe, you know.

All of this, and maybe more,
Would go on without us.
Maybe it would go on more,
Better, longer; you only exist,
You don't rule the world.
