Click by click, I'm flipping
each page pops up on the screen.
Robotic in my motions
like some kind of horrid dream.
I've seen this and I've seen that,
is there really nothing new?
A warning upon my monitor says:
Go find something to do!
B...but I start to stutter,
as I stare in disbelief.
Who stole away the internet?
I'll catch that rotten thief!
Caution, Caution - you must abort
there's nothing left to see.
Your brain is mush, your eyes are crossed -
you fool, get off of me!
One more warning flashes bright,
says I must take heed.
The end of the internet has been reached,
no more junk, your mind will need.
You've seen it all, everything
from viruses to crap.
Now shut me down and go away
before you find yourself trapped.
Lifeless, as I sit there
still staring at my screen.
WTF has happened now,
this must be some messed up
Nightmare!
(I think I would die if the internet came to an end.
Can we say HAL?)

very good
so much imagery about what would happen if the 'net went down
excellent
i find it amazing that , as i read the "interet contest" works,
so many of us do the same thing
or feel the same
i especially like the ending
a sort of pause
before the end

Great, hilarious piece!
"Caution, Caution - you must abort
there's nothing left to see.
Your brain is mush, your eyes are crossed -
you fool, get off of me!"
Someday, this may happen.
Like a glutton scraping the pie plate
for the last few crumbs,
I can't seem to push myself
away from the table on my own.
