He squats at the roadside
Watching passers by ignoring the threadbare cap
Lying on the dusty floor
At his feet

Taking out the torn paper
He smiles
The slanted scribble of her words still marching across the page
Still marching across his heart
His memory
His world

Keeping him going
Through the darkness, loneliness and rain
And he would do it all ten times over
If she would fix her sparkling eyes on his
Saying
‘My love
                                                  Anything is possible’

Ohh. This is wonderful. I enjoyed every word of it. How we all wish that we could have someone we love say the same words to us. Great job.
