Raven eyed and ebon haired,
oft’ with goddess you’re compared.
Sun beams lighting your flawless face
Show beauty, sweetness and a gentle grace.
Golden tressed and emerald eyed,
Your beauty cannot be denied.
Sun and moon both love you best,
proclaim you fairer than the rest.
Love must look beyond the face.
Life rests on more than form and grace.
If the heart does not beat true
no amount of beauty will see you through.
Still you will capture countless hearts
leaving in your wake, broken parts.
Some flit through life so unafraid
thinking their beauty will never fade.
Beauty almost never lasts
and when it become a thing of past
if you have not heart still left to give
few are willing to forgive.
So live your life as if you’re plain.
Then through youth and age you can remain
a loved and respected fact of life
with little envy, hate or strife.

What about us blue eyed brunettes? Never mind. It’s the same principle, I suppose. It does seem to be very wise advice. Again, good work.

She is like a princess in a fairy tale, beautiful and good. "Live your life as if you're plain." Good counsel there.
I like this but there are a few places where it doesn't quite flow.
Good luck with it. -
Wisdom... very lovely. There was a lot of thought put into this poem and I loved it. Wonderful- thanks for entering!
