Sitting on the porch
Watching winter snow
Tempted to slide down
To stir up the crackling bones
To have some fun
Sitting on old rocking chair
Rocking himself there
Nodding his head
Sparkling with few silver hair
Chewing on some cold air
Sitting up all curved
Sleeping while watching the scene
Taking a peek in between
Don’t mess with me
He shouts at the neighbor kids
And goes back to sleep
A sudden smile, think it is
Sneaking up on his wrinkled face
Dreaming is in the pipeline
Probably thinking of young Muse
Chasing after him
And wakes up just in time
It’s that time again
For which he sits in the winter breeze
His nurse with his daily vitamins
And his due injection
With a smile he misses often
After she leaves him with a kiss
I’ve still got it!
He yells trembling
I’ll see you tomorrow honey
As she whispers to him
For few more minutes
He watches her sway
Waving at him to say bye
Sits in the car and off she drives
While old young eyes
Admires her behind from far away
Ol’ man… Ol’ Man
