A Fragment

Never have I ever forgotten to remember
dancing in September
raining in November
singing the Pretenders
acting like I'm clever, though I'm not
Just a thought
          A Fragment
ideas becoming stagnant and old
If I could be so bold
But my confidence is waning as I'm November raining
September dancing, August romancing
hoping that you're glancing in my direction
hoping my erection
is not so noticable
Feeling pretty quotable, my ego knows no bounds
It astounds in effect, mesmerizing, super-sizing, and compromising
NOTHING!
I AM THAT I AM!
Blasphemy?
or a deeper need to be myself?
Catastrophe arranged neatly on a shelf
rather sweetly on display
then packed up
and put away.

I really liked this! The entire poem caught my attention and I couldn't stop reading. The rhythm of the lines flowed well also. Good take on the lyric and good luck in the contest!

"Catastrophe arranged neatly on a shelf"
What an amazing line. It stood out to me.

I like the tone of this poem. It doesn't seem to just blend into the background and my eyes don't divert from the words as they tend to.

    Good job
