Lord, on that night when your angels sang:

Lord, when they, the shepherds decided:
"Let's go to Bethlehem and see
this thing that has happened,
which the Lord has told us about."
I was not there…
Lord, Simeon took you in his arms and said:
"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
light for revelation …
and for glory to your people…"
I was not there…
Lord, when they took palm branches and shouted:
"Hosanna!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessed is the King…"
I was not there…
Lord, when Peter before the rooster’s crow said:
"I don't know what you're talking about
I don't know the man
I don’t know the man."
I was there…
Lord, when the crowd shouted back at Pilate:
"Take him away
Take him away
Crucify him."
I was there…
Lord, when they nailed you next to me you said:
"I tell you the truth,
today you will be
with me in paradise."
I’m so glad You were there…

Oh..oh yes! This is the best in thought and I can tell it is Holy Spirit propelled! You are gifted with this kind of delivery.
Who should bring this but those who've 'realized' the pain and promise of Christ's sacrifice. Oh, but don't we wish others would 'get it'?

Beautiful Write
Oh so beautiful. I love how after each stanza you were not there, but at the end of the Lords life you were there and at the end with the man on the cross next to Jesus is really like you and I and I too am glad Jesus was there. For he said I shall see you in paradise today. Oh how lucky are we. What a beautiful write. The imagery and the flow of this poem is flawless. Thank you for sharing with me.

I loved your poem so much it was so amazing and beautiful galore. It was magnifisent that you put actual parts and verses from the bible to show the true story on how god's love for us is infinte. Praise be to his name Jesus Christ forever and forever and till eternity Amen!
