Grounds absorb the crying sky,
But leaves behind the pain.
Fallen from the Heavens,
The raindrops rest upon the skin.
More than skin deep.
-Chorus-
The drops seep down into your mind
Filling it with tragedy.
The pain is more than what's on your arms.
It's more than just skin deep.
The sky buries it's weeping,
But the clouds remain in full.
They're tempted to mourn once more,
To let the lightning slash the lachrymose air.
More than skin deep.
-Chorus-
The lightning slashes through your mind
Filling it with tragedy.
The pain is more than what's on your arms.
It's more than just skin deep.
Through the clouds,
The sun shines down
Releasing hope to roam the Earth.
Wounds have healed over.
-Chorus-
The sun shines down into your mind
Filling it with joy.
The pain is still remebered,
But no longer does it hurt.
Wounds have healed over.
Author notes
This was inspired by the first one, but then it gets happy at the end, which is weird for me. But yeah, it's a song. I hope you don't mind, you didn't specify that it needed to be a poem.
