Sounds of glass shattering
Peace within was shaken
Looking, nothing disturbed
Sick feeling clawed at me
Within my heart chambers
I knew I was in shock totally
Helplessly I headed for the door
Pass by things that were familiar
Clueless as to where or what to do
Safety was not yet a concern
Reaching for car keys and money
driving without destination in mind
Walking in on that situation
Blew me away…
