Alzheimers Retreat

  Worried,sad and depressed
  Fearfull and feel alone
  I visit here to hide
  Put the world aside
  Enter my memories
  Back to better times
  Feeling good here inside
  A wonderous space to abide
  May just stay here
  And never more
  Reality to restore
I am here by the door
  Please help me,before
  I can no longer decide
  And life long
  Remain on this endless
  Confusing coaster ride

I'm sure it must be tough dealing with this and you expressed yourself wonderfully in your poem. Best of Luck.

Alzheimers is a horrible disease for the family of the diseased, but I like the view the poem is in.

I really like your wording in this, even though for me, it is hard to read as my mother has Altzheimer's - and I am on the other side on this confusing coaster ride - and it is terrible.
But, all in all, the wording was good, it read nicely.
    Good luck in your contest.

Wow, this is really good. This is exactly how I feel. I wish sometime that I could just disappear from the world and go into my head. Life would be much easier that way. Very good write.
