What is Poetry? {HM}

Quote:
"Poetry is thoughts and words, blended with ink they become one on the page."

To write of love or love to write,
a poet's heart must open wide.
And as the pen begins to glide,
your thoughts and words spring forth with might.

    Yet more proof that simplicity is powerful! I say it all the time, but I love it when I find proof! This is succinct and lovely and true too. Nicely done, Joyce, nicely done.

    I like how your first line reverses back on itself. This poem is short but it really has a lot of power behind it! Good luck in the contest!

      Snow, Thank you for the applauses and your lovely words of praise to me. This was a little different in that we had to create our own quote and then write a poem for it in 35 words or less. I'm very happy that you enjoyed this one. I feel it sums up the meaning of poetry. Thank you for the good luck wishes in the contest also. Love and God bless you, Joyce

      going, Thank you for the applauses and the lovely words of praise you are forever leaving me. I don't know about a membership. I can tell you that these are my thoughts on poetry and how they make me feel. From reading your work I know that yours comes straight from your heart as well. You are the bestest. Love and God bless you my friend, Joyce
