The Droll of Alcohol

Alcohol ruins your liver,

it makes you shake and shiver.


Alcohol makes you smell

and hurt yourself and others  as well.

 

Alcohol causes aggression,and

 you can end up with depression.

 

Alcohol makes you swear and shout,

you look like a fool when you are out.

 

Alcohol makes you kick of and fight.

Especially when you drink through the night.
 

Alcohol ruins your brain,

and makes you go insane.

 

So think hard before you have a drink

    so very true hun, a great write with such a great message, so much is lot through alcohol, is it realy worth it?

    excellent~

    This should be read at an AA meeting..
    Describes people on alochol to capital T
    I have had maybe 6 drinks in my life..not much of a drinker..........I prefer soda instead...and now have to rely on pills for pain..but that falls into a different category............

    Everyone I ever knew has an alcoholic in the family. I am no exception. It is a hard thing to bear....It is more than sadness, there is anger and disgust and the associated guilt for feeling like that for some one you love so much, but you always wonder, are you loved back.

    These are very strong words indeed. I liked this poem. However to be honest I think the line: So think hard before you have a drink was overused. I know you are trying to stress the point but I do think that this line broke some of the poems flow. A good write all the same though.
