Consciously hurting yourself
Is it for attention?
Do you need to lose weight that bad?
Why did you tell me?
Did you really need someones opinion?
Do you need someone to know?
Or do you just want attention?
Your not fat, you don't need diets
But now your going to extremes
And its unhealthy
Just because you know its bad
Doesn't make it okay
Your playing on the edge of a dangerous line
And if you cross it you can't come back
You can die however...
When will you learn
That your idea of living life
is killing you
When will you realise
That your body can't handle your lifestyle
Your lying for attention
Not knowing
That everyone can see through you
One day you will learn...
One day you will see...
One day...

No idea how to explain this to you

Sometimes buliemic tendencies is a way for crying out for help in that isn't being recieved in a different area of emotional distress that isn't being recieved. One can feel abandoned, and the attention reminds them that they're loved. Humankind is always searching for ways to prove that they are wanted, and unfortunately, sometimes we tget so desparate to feel the love that we do dangerous things to ourselves.

wow, this really hit home. i love the lines "One day you will learn.../ One day you will see..."
i have a few friends with eating disorders, and sometimes it can be as hard on us, their friends, as it is on them.
i believe that many people say/do/say they do things to get attention, even when most of the time the rest of us can see through them.
another great write!!!
