Snow swells and sleigh bells,
hot cocoa and cider,
the giggles of children
as grownups smile wider!
There’s baking and making
and taking around,
the glow of forgiveness
and friendships abound.
Reaching, not preaching,
what needs are about?
Through goodwill and service
may none go without!
Pine boughs and snow plows,
the stockings are hung,
a pageant with shepherds,
the church bells are rung;
A manger, wee stranger,
God’s gift, Word of Love,
to teach us the way to
our home up above!
