in a fog ridden night
you cower
sheltered from the rays of the sun
appearing only when darkness broods
when weakness prevails
until you leave eternal footprints
in possessed sand
high tide rolls in
under a moonless sky
where you can be seen
you are taken out
disregarded
dismissed
avenged

You have penned a wonderful piece. The imagery is sensational, it just pulls the reader into your thoughts and imagination, and draws me into the scene.
Thank you for entering and all the best in the contest.
