Raevyn Girl

Snow falls from a clear night sky,
glittering like glass and
covering her footprints.
(She searches)
Long dark hair curls
around her shoulders;
forest eyes reflect the moon above.
(She is beauty)
Midwinter breathes its cold kiss,
carressing her milky white skin.
Tears freeze upon her cheeks,
sparkling like fallen stars.
(Silent sorrow)
On and on she walks,
hearing the wolves' mourning cries.
They sing for her.
They sing for him.
(Keep going... Don't give up)
He was taken from her;
she searches for him;
on and on and on.
(Never will she falter)
Day and night, she walks,
searching for her lost love.
Only when she finds him
will her journey come to an end.
Only when she has him in her arms
will her eyes dry.
(Because their love is forever)

    Where'd you get the idea for this one? This is an incredible leap forward from all your other stuff. I don't think I've ever seen you write quite like this before.

      I'm not sure whether you mean that in a good way or a bad way, but I'll say "thank you" anyway.
      As for where I got the idea - I honestly couldn't tell you. I just got a picture in my head, so I wrote it out. Happens sometimes.

        Heh, I meant it in a very good way. This one's my new favourite of yours. A very evocative piece.
