Deck the halls with boughs of holly
as the children sing their cheerful tunes;
'tis the season to be jolly,
and watch it all crumble into ruins.
A mistletoe sprig hangs above
as blood-stained kisses are exchanged below,
showing signs of the darkest love
and setting icy hearts aglow.
Lights twinkling upon a Christmas tree
are thickly splashed with horrific gore,
happiness and joy, for all to see,
are darkly tainted forevermore.
Author notes
I'm sick of the true message of Christmas being defiled by materialism, so I decided to defile those commodidies in this poem.
Enjoy the horror of it all.

nice
way to go! It's fun to see writing with a purpose other than angst from you. Don't get me wrong, I love some of your other stuff ^_^ but the change in subject and slight tone shows versatility and creativity. AND . . . I was getting bored with the emo while flipping through ur stuffs. This is a pleasant change of tone. Instead of aiming inward, u aim out. way to go ^_^
