'Twas the Night before Christmas,
And through this whole country,
Countless parents of gamers
Sought after a Wii.
Yes, this hot Christmas gift
Left the buyers in doubt;
"There must be one Somewhere",
Yet, everyone was sold out-
At Target, at Best Buy
And Comp U. S. A.
The adults looked all places
But to their dismay
There was not one to be found,
This was too true,
So they needed something else
To get their kids addicted too.
So the buyers,
Quite tired and overly stressed,
Asked the Gaming store manager
What he thought was best.
And to their surprise,
He started to yell:
"Tell your snotty little kids
To go jingle their bells!
I'm tired of parents
Who overly spoil and treat
Paying hundred for games
Becuase you try to compete
With other parents
To see 'Who's more kind'...
When all these games do
Is deplete your kid's mind!
So here's an idea,
This is really a gem,
Why don't you get something
That's good for them?
A book perhaps,
Or some lessons for guitar,
Things like these
Beat the Wii by far!"
Then the truth settled over
These last-minute folks;
They sprinted to the bookstore
And prodded and coaxed
The employess to stay open
For just a little more time.
And after that Christmas
This is what they did find:
The novels they gave the children to read
Gave them intelligence
At an incredible speed.
So from there on out,
On each Christmas night,
They sought out the presents
That would give offspring insight
Into the worlds,
Fiction and Non.
And nevermore was a Wii
Ever turned on.
