Dancin' with Santa Claus,
Dancin' with Santa Claus,
Right on Santa Claus Lane,
Vixen and Blitzen,
And all his reindeer
Are getting married again...
Sounds now ringin', children screamin'
All ain't merry or bright,
Buy a garter and say the prayer
Please Santa marry me tonight.
Dancin' with Santa Claus,
Dancin' with Santa Claus,
Right on Santa Claus Lane,
Look at his beard,
White as snow,
While we do-se-do,
Cells are ringin', lids are bangin'
And food of berries that ignite,
Wear the dress and comb my hair,
'Cause Santa's marryin' me tonight...
Dancin' with Santa Claus,
Dancin' with Santa Claus,
Right on Santa Claus Lane,
Right down the altar,
Is where we ran,
We had pledged our vows,
Bells are ringin', children singin'
All is now merry and bright,
They made a bed for us newlyweds 'cause,
Santa married me tonight!

Hi and welcome to my contest! I was chuckling as I read this...it's a rather amusing idea, to be sure. I think that the best part was where you talked about "do-se-doing" with Santa. That would be quite the sight!
Some of the rhythm was off, but overall, you did an excellent job of keeping to the song rhythm. And thank you for taking the time to read the rules!
I enjoyed this, and it made me laugh! Good luck in my contest!

Well, I could certainly tell what song you were writing off of without taking a look at the authors note, or indeed even knowing that it was entered in a contest, though some of it seems a bit forced. Mainly the 'Dancing with Santa Claus" bit, its a syllable too long and really throws it off.
You did do a decent job though, for sure. It feels like a song, just like it should.
