Christmas Colors

Christmas colours made of love
make up this special day.
Bright and cheerful filled with glee
as only brightness may.

Bits of this and bits of that
combine to make me smile.
Red, blue and green as well
all colours by the mile.

What's the colour of this love
that makes this day so rare?
The silver and gold tinsel hang
upon the tree so fair.

Love is pure, a ray of white
surrounded by a glow
of baby Jesus on that night
and angels who loved him so.

Christmas is a special time
and we can all agree.
Colours add to the effect
that this day has on me.

Lovely write. The Christmas colors add that extra POW to the holiday to me. I love riding around looking at the lights. This was well deserving of the silver beauty. Congratulations!

I love this! A wonderful piece...The rhyming flows well, it's not forced or anything, and the colors you have (gold and silver) are most definitlety an important part of theholiday season...I'm surprised that you had such an apropriate poem as a prewrite *cough* er-...not a prewrite.
"What's the colour of this love
that makes this day so rare?
The silver and gold tinsel hang
    upon the tree so fair."
You even define what makes the colors so special to you; amazing. Thank you so much for entering, and best of luck.
