“A mutiny for the captain!” did the pirates declare,
“Aye,” was the unison reply as I stood shaking there.
So they tied up my hands behind my back,
With a taut old rope that could’ve had slack.
Pushing me forth onto the plank,
My trembling body felt limp and lank.
Gaping at the water below,
I feared my death would be cold and slow.
They chanted and ranted
And urged me towards
The roaring sea’s wrath at the point of their swords.
Out on the plank did I stand,
My bloodshot eyes did search for land.
With shaking shoulders and a thumping heart,
I figured this was my death’s cruel start.
So I dove off the plank into the waters deep,
With my fleeting life I had hoped to keep.
Plunging down into the blue,
I successfully fled my merciless crew.
“What now:” Then said myself to I,
“What are the chances that I’m gonna die?”
A local island is what I desired to find,
Or a nearby refuge of some kind.
So I swam and swam till I no longer could, ‘and thought, “It'd be nice to rest, it would!”
Then all of a sudden, straight up ahead,
I spotted an island, “Argg!” I said.
Therefore I summoned my strength
And forward my body did I thrust.
To reach my destination was a must.
TO leave my mutiny back behind,
Though someday those bloodthirsty pirates I shall find!
Thus here I sit on a beach,
Considering a moral that I could teach.
Perhaps a ship will come passing by,
And I won’t be left here to die.
But I suppose I might be stuck
On this island of dirt and muck . . .
For a very long time!

I am chuckling, because the last thing I did yesterday was finish reading Sir John Barrow's (uneven) account of the Muntiny on HMS Bounty. The captain, Lieutenant William Bligh, was set adrift in an overloaded boat, rather than made to walk the plank, but I chuckled at the coincidence.
Lots of Captain Jack Sparrow here - great fun.

lol....this was cute. I can vividly picture this captain from your well-written images.
Very well worded, full of great images.
Good luck in your contest.
