The Never Ending Comp

I fell asleep in my chair
when reading my book

and then wandered off

to dream like I should.

I was surrounded by poet's
from long down the year's
who had entered a competition
amongst their peer's.

There faces looked ragged

by times beating clock

and all had been waiting

for the results of this comp.

I laughed as they told me

how they all ended up

being caught on this page

that a Ted E Bare dreamed up...

That was hilarious! A contest entry that would answer the contest itself hosted by a crazy Ted E Bare. Defintely great for a chuckle. Of course I love the background. I'm shocked to find I'm the first one to see this and comment. I want to thank you for entering my "The endless contest (or longest contest is more like it)!" contest. This will not be the last time I read your entry. At the minimum, it will be read at least once more during judging.
