Now I lay down to sleep.
please wipe my tears if I weep.
Keep me safe through out the night.
Give me rest till morning light.
Help me rise to meet the day.
Rather it be for work or play.
Guide me along life's way.
Be with me through out my day.
From the dawn until dusk.
Help me do all I must.
A light for the Lord, I want to be.
My Angel beautiful watch over me.

Wuah, such a beautiful prayer you have here. It's simple, yet holds so much beauty and emotions inside. I remember when I was a child. I always prayed before I went to sleep, and I always thought that maybe one day, if I prayed enough, one would come and meet me. I'm still kind of hoping for that, as I see so much beauty in angels. And in this poem too. Thank you for sharing this and granting me some old forgotten memories.
