Missing Person

Stuck in her nightmares
She whimpers in her sleep
Trying to awaken is useless
She's in way too deep

She prays for help
But no one hears her cries
She can't get anyone to listen
No matter how hard she tries

She misses the one she lost
She never got to say goodbye
So now she always wonders
Is it still okay to cry

The midpoint of two years ago
She lost the one she loved
She knows they're in a better place
Upon the wings of a dove

But she can't help the jealousy
She wants them back with her
But she knows she can't have the fantasy
Even though it hurts

So finally some peace at night
Knowing they're happy and at rest
She sleeps without whimpers and tears
For they only want the best

Amazing. Very simply, and yet somehow very deep.
    I love it.
    My favorite part:
    "So now she always wonders
Is it still okay to cry"
Not sure why, just... very emotional.

This is a really amazing poem and I love it. The last stanza is also really good in contrast with the rest. It's has more of an upbeat tone than the others which really adds to the poem. It may be kinda sad, but it is still really, really good. I absolutely loved this poem
