The Lovers by the Sea

The sea is ever changing while the shore remains the same
And a young girl there is waiting for her love to come home again
But little does she know that her wait is all in vain
For the sea had changed too roughly and her lover there was slain
Near a month has passed and not a word from her young man
And her tears have stained her face as she lies upon the sand
And so she cries out to the heavens that she should never wake
Until the man returns to her for her love is his to take
And she lies motionless upon that shore
For her love to come back home
Ah, but here most are deceived for they believe she waits alone
No, with her he is always not in body but in mind
For in her memories he lives with her until the end of time
With the girl he left behind.
