When your heart
is full to bursting
and love has you
surely smitten
To where should
the credit be given?
Can anyone really
handle the intensity
Of love’s thirsting,
needing to feel immensely
Warm and cozy
like a late night nap
‘Neath the fireplace lit,
with a love caressing his back
mind at even keel,
passion’s not seen one so bold
longing to be swallowed whole
by the other lover’s soul
desires seep into the mind
like thief in early morn.
kisses that seal
lips together for all eternity
and promises of tomorrow
ever echo love’s power.
