When soft summer rain gently washes the
petals of roses, causing their sweet perfume
to awaken me,
Pictures of memories surface as if
floating in the pastels of watercolors,
I remember you.
When the softness of the sun warms
the earth and all living creatures rejoice
in the wonder of life, I remember your
happiness for each days dawning and
I think of you.
When my child nestles into the fold
of my arms and I gaze into eyes so filled
with love and complete trust,
I am overwhelmed with an emptiness deep
within my being.
Wanting only to turn back time, for a while.
to be with you, mother,
to savor your presence
just one more time

Wonderful poem. I have videos of my Mom, taping us and I watch them over and over just to hear her voice. This is a great piece...one day we'll meet them again.

So nostalgic! Very touching!
We can never go back, so we've just got to love our loved ones while they're here and in heaven, we'll see them again!
