hangin by this belt
only a few really knew how i felt
trying to swing myself
attached to the laundry room shelf
my god mother found me
horrified of what she could see
they took me to the mental ward
and i chocked myself with the straight-jacket cord
orderlies stopped me with heavy medication
i couldn't help but to succumb to the sensation
of the drugs pumped into my arms
wishin that i would die and buy the farm

Suicide isn't the answer to life's problems ~ I do understand the feeling of reaching the end and yearning for something to come ~ to end it ~ and make it final.
Thanks so much for entering the "Set the bar" contest ~ I do appreciate you sharing your work with me ~ best of luck to you. -
buy the farm = die
.... this is what I've always assumed it to mean, which would make it a tad tautological in this instance? Not sure where this expression comes from Haunted Doll, another assumption - USA?

i am not familiar with the term "buy the farm" if it has some other meaning. this was short and not as emotional and detailed as I would have liked.
