The Doll On The Shelf

High Upon The Shelf,
Her Face Cracked And Flawed...
Once So Beautiful
Dust Covered, Strings All Broken...

Glassy Eyes Full Of Dispair,
Her Sorrow Will Continue Long After Tomorrow.

Windows Busted, Counters Empty
She Lay There Alone...
Forgotten.

The Sun Does Not Reach Her,
And Hope Will Never Find Her
Atop Her Shelf, She'll Watch The World Play.

Life Passed Her By
While She Waited For Him...
Fragile And Broke,
But Too Strong To Cry.

    Beautiful

I liked the whole poem. It was very strong and sad. I can't help but feel sorry for the doll. I just want to pick her up and not let her go. In a way, she reminds me of me. Vey well written.
