Romeo and Juliet's love they say was never meant to be.
A forbidden love which no one was to see.
Romeo fell in love at the very first glance.
To sweet Juliet he had seen at the dance.
Romeo would hide in the shadows until it was clear.
When Juliet came to the window he knew he had nothing to fear.
When they were together he held her so tight.
They were secretly married late one night.
Their forbidden love was soon found out.
They were doomed without a doubt.
Juliet with poison seemed to take her own life.
Romeo wanted to join his dear sweet wife.
So with a dagger he pierced his heart.
Juliet awoke, her plan was not to smart.
To see her Romeo had truly died.
She laid down by his side.
With his dagger she did the same.
It was to their families they lay the blame.
For now their bodies were taken away.
Romeo and Juliet will together eternity lay.
