Time

Time is often misinterpreted as numbers on a clock,
Days, minutes, appointments, the common tick-tock.
But the realization that time is but an illusion,
Would come as such a shock.

What if we lived in a world where time did not exist,
No clocks on the wall or watches on your wrist?
No calendars or holidays to look forward to,
Would time sorely be missed?

Or what if there could be more hours in a day,
Would you take advantage of it or waste it away?
Could you make the most of each hour,
Or to the hands of time would you fall prey?

What if you could travel back in time,
Go from twelve to ten and ten to nine?
Would life turn out to be just the way you wanted it to,
The ultimate and perfectly altered joyride?

So when you thing of time in any way,
Be it clocks, meetings, or hours in a day.
Just remember that time is a deadly illusion,
Slowly stealing your life away...
