If I could write you a letter
On this old sheet of paper
I'd pen the words with more care
Grace
And beauty
Than the breeze through a maple tree on a summer day.
If I could write you a letter
I would fill the page with compliments
Praises
And thank-yous
Such that it would take far too long to read.
If I could write you a letter
All the words I ever choked on
Would finally be spoken through fine lines of ink.
Though we both know
Our hearts speak to each other
Like two old friends sitting on a park bench
Watching the world go by.

MASTERPIECE
This is like a fairytale write I loved it immensely. This was my favorite line:
Though we both know
Our hearts speak to each other
Like two old friends sitting on a park bench
Watching the world go by.

Sometimes it is very hard to write the words we want to convey to someone. Thanks for sharing. Great Write!!! Take care, Sandy
