Facade (adult humor)

Behind this screen,
I can be most anything

Change my sex at will...
From a voluptuous tart,
to a stranger so pathetically ill...

You never know what you will get.

I find this poem to be great, but somewhat disturbing. I think I find it to be so frightful because hiding behind a screen can be easily done.

This is a great write, it really made me think!

Nicely penned. I really liked this - adult humor but not tasteless!!!!!!!!

Great piece, I like this. It uses the idea of gender but also identity- how can we be sure anyone is anything when they're on the internet? We can't be sure that guy's a handsome stud, that girl is sexy or even that the guy is a guy and the girl is a girl. The creepy part of it is we can't even be sure our kids' friends are 13 and not 83. So- the idea applies to gender and so much more which is why I like this poem. There is also a humour to it, maybe a dark humour, those people who are ugly in real life but pretend to be gorgeous etc and seduce people online.
