Beyond the realm of something
Within a world of not
Far past here, and far past there
In a place less than a thought
On the underside of the universe
Behind every star and sun
After all creation crumbles
And everything that is, is done
Inside a land of make believe
In a city that can never be seen
Not quite a dream nor a truth
But some space inbetween
In his palace of lies he shall reside
Deep within his mind
A tower of tales told to us
Of a castle we can never find
Away from every eternity
At the end of all that is
He shall reign forever more
The Nothingness now His
Sitting somewhere so secluded
On his imaginary throne
Never to need another
Forever fallen and always alone
Author notes
This is actually based on a 3 Act play that I wrote in college. The title was "The King of Nothingness," and the play was bassically about a certain period of my life.

There is a strong unique streak in this- in my opinion, one of the most interesting poems I've read in the past few weeks. The first verse, not only sucked me in, but was worded in such an intriguing and quirky way- I found it thought-provoking and very enjoyable. The concept of reigning over nothingness was rather clever, and you penned with perfect rhythm.
