Coffee

I remember a morning
when warm pillows
pressed my face;
a soft voice
found my ear
and begged
rude rising sun
to leave us.

When aromas of
summer night filled
dimly glowing air
and we balanced
on the edge
of sleep and waking;

and coffee cups
sat empty, in
table top thoughts,
golden creamy coffee
made me think
of  her skin;

sharing groggy
fog and wishes,
rolling over
to capture
my body;

and we stayed
there
all day.

    Quite a romantic, tender memory. One thing made this sound sad to me though, the thought it is but just a memory...

    Oh, this is so lovely! There is nothing better than mornings like this and with the cold, winter wind howling outside, I miss the warm snuggle of lazy Sunday mornings. Tender moments here . . .

    A better definition of love could not be found, haha. A fine moment captured wonderfully. Well done.
