Black & White

amidst the darkness
In a world of black and white
A colorful rose
Glows in the weary night
All around owls voices echo
As bats dance to their music
And the dull moonlight fades into the sky
Once the calamitous clouds take over the night
Sadness sweeps the fields
All the roses appear peaked
Except for one
This Spanish rose
displays the hardship of each season
Aging lines show that death is near
Sadness can not be held out for any longer
The edges curl inward
As if pain was being endured
Shriveling up, hope is lost
Anguish takes over the land
And this world becomes like an story book
Black & White & neglected with time

    Absolutely Amazing

This is a very well written poem. It's so amazing how you pieced all the words together so beautifully yet it was very dark and sad. You really kept everything interesting from the beginning to the end. I agree with Denierim the ending is really great. Keep writing!!!

Wow! Having a simple rose as your prompt in this picture, you did an amazing job! Emotions, sadness, darkness... There are so many emotions in this piece that it kept me interested all the way to the end, to know what there would be. A lonely rose waiting for that dark moment to come... So sad, yet so beautifully written. I adore the ending you wrote to this one:

"And this world becomes like an story book
Black & White & neglected with time"

Such beautiful lines you wrote there that really touched me. Beautiful, beautiful work with this one!
