The whisper means much
I want him to tell
I even impel
Why he speaks of such:
Beauty! a joke
Image of smoke
Words that he spoke
Just to provoke
"D'amour est bon, belle,"
C'est vrai: that is true,
But can't my "belle" dwell
In my soul as well,
Instead of with you?
"D'amour est bonne, belle,
Mais Je suis la bete."

"D'amour est bonne, belle": To love is good, beauty.
"C'est vrai": That's true
"Mais Je suis la bete": But I am (stupid/ugly)

I really loved it. Right up my alley. I like how you changed rhythm with, "Why he speaks of such:

And I love that you used French. I want to leanr French and I think it is a lovely language. Very original poem.
